Touchable Holography
July 31, 2009 by: SanketTouchable Holography is the technique by which 3D holograph is created in air and then using technologies and image processing the touch feel. User can’t sense it by hand but it can be seen from eyes.
Researchers, led by Hiroyuki Shinoda, from the University of Tokyo have developed a display that lets users touch objects that appear to float in space. This trick is done using and LCD and a concave mirror and the sensation of touch is recreated using an ultrasound device positioned below the mirror and LCD.
In future we can see many applications which will be build on this technology.
