Monitoring performance in Windows 7 using perfmon.exe

The following options give greater control of Perfmon.exe directly from the command-line:
perfmon /rel Lets you review your computer’s reliability and problem history (the same result as right-clicking the Monitoring Tools node in Performance Monitor and selecting View System Reliability).

How To turn off UAC in Windows 7
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
In Control Panel, click User Accounts.
In the User Accounts window, click User Accounts.
In the User Accounts tasks window, click Turn User Account Control on or off.
If UAC is currently configured in Admin Approval Mode, the User Account Control message appears. Click Continue.

File modification issue in Windows 7 for program files content
We have developed many windows application using C# or VB.NET.
In that we stored connection string and other required data in ‘app.config’ file, and we modify that file using our application to store latest connection or other information.
This is standard practice and works as well.
But in ‘Windows 7’ OS architecture is changed...Windows 7 Starter Edition – Missing Features
